Mon 22/10/2012 Reduced Noun clause

Hi, how are you? well.. i hope that u will not be as tired as me now :), i have lots of HW lately, btw here are the materials that we've learned on Monday, Oct 22nd, 2012 :

REDUCED NOUN CLAUSE

A Noun clause may appear in REDUCED form 

1. In informal style, reduced NOUN CLAUSE is achieved by omitting the subordinate conjunction THAT

ex :
He believes that the medicine will definitely cure his illness. <-- COMPLETE
He believes the new medicine will definitely cure his illness. <-- REDUCED ('that' is omitted)

2. Reduced noun clause often use to  infinitives (  to + verb 1)

a. Such a noun clause is usually the OBJECT derived from a QUESTION
 ex :
She doesn't know how She can answer the question. <-- COMPLETE
She doesn't know how TO ANSWER the question <-- REDUCED

b.After a verb of URGENCY ( advise, ask, beg, require, urge, recommend, etc)
ex:
The doctor advised her that the instruction for the  new medication  be read first. <-- COMPLETE
The doctor advised her TO READ the instruction for the new medication first. <--- REDUCED
